Italy, a land of history, culture and roots deep in a rich and intense territory. A sensory journey through the Terrazze di Liguria, Valle dei mandorli di Sicilia and Colline di Toscana.

Sometimes I hear around me a question as simple as complicated in finding clear and defined answers. A question of those seemingly trivial that hide behind a universe of multiple responses.

“What is important for you in life?”

For me actually the answer is very simple, but is not related to a unique concept as to more connected between them.

My family, my parents, my grandmother. And the desire to see them always serene and happy. Of course this is not always possible, but until everything will be solved with a smile will never be anything really too bad.

My love. The first thing I see in the morning opening my eyes and the last at night when I close them. Together though separate, are speaking although in silence.

Audrey. When life decides to give you a gift, it gives you a furry friend knowing that you will be able to really understand the true meaning of loyalty and eternal friendship.

A job I love, health which is never to be taken for granted, to travel the world discovering new ways of life, read every night, do not judge anything or anyone, to live peacefully and in a carefree way, enjoying everything and depriving myself of anything.

Look of the day: The Night

The night has a special charm. That of listening and don’t make questions, that of keeping confidences collect thems as treasure chests containing a secret of inestimable value.

They say that the night is for sleeping, but the popular beliefs have never been part of my uncommon being and always remaining out of every rule. The night, with its warm and enveloping darkness, came to speak hidden under blankets, to enjoy a cup of green tea while sitting on the terrace between the smells of jasmine flower and the sky covered with stars, to kiss each other in our intimacy.

The night is for those who don’t have time to close their eyes in order to live their dream, but spent it with their eyes open and focused on what they want to be. For those living the darkness as a natural continuation of the day, because from the darkness comes the light that penetrates into the cracks of the soul lightening the dawn of a new day.

Beauty | Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier

I walked streets that smelled of Summer. I climbed steep rocks overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, sunk in majestic and lush bushes. Barefoot and naked of emotions and words.

I let the wind went through me and spoke to me and the smell of fig tree in bloom inebriated my mind and senses.

I searched in vain those intense moments for a long time to come later and, like Marcel Proust with his madelaines, of a sudden here they are … Again … With me.

I met Fleur de Figuier by Roger & Gallet just as in most great love stories, by chance and by that time it never abandoned me. Francis Kurkdjan was inspired by the sun-drenched coast of Estérel and its gardens, where the prosperous fig trees reign overhanging vegetation.

The fragrance, enveloping as the sea breeze and juicy like the pulp of a fig, is created with the skillful blending of irresistible and seductive notes. The extract of sprouts fig tree tells the relentless sun of the Mediterranean merges with the delicate wood violet while the distillate of pink pepper adds a sensual and spicy touch. Added to these are the sparkling and fresh distilled of tangerine, the powerful and ground distilled of patchouli and musk.

Everything is enclosed in a bottle proud and slender, designed by Martin Szekely, an ode to the purple color. The cylindrical bottle with the cap inside faceted is refined and inspired by the ancient and precious botanical plates similar to those used by apothecaries.

A fragrance that expresses the joy of life and happiness, thanks to the fruity notes and its solar and typically Mediterranean scent.

And so I close my eyes, I vaporize enough on the neck and I start my journey … Under the Sun of June and on the streets, rocks and figs in flower of my country.
